The Western Wall Tunnel Tour

Yesterday, on the blog, we visited by Web Cam the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

And doubtless some of you have already found and viewed several of the other interesting features on that aish.com website with the web cam.

Specifically, I am thinking about the link to the Western Wall Tunnel Tour.

When I visited Jerusalem a lonnnnng time ago (when dinosaurs roamed the earth ... just kidding, it was not quite that long ago), the tunnels were known to exist but were not open to tourists. So, I was able to see the Western Wall and the entrance to the tunnels. But, alas, was not able to enter them.

Now, the tunnels are open and visitors can view them and walk through them. I have seen brief videos of folks going through portions of the tunnels but never have seen a complete walk through with explanations of what one is seeing.

However, on the aish.com website, there is a wonderful little tour which, though it is not a video tour, is excellent. It has many pictures and detailed explanations.

It is almost like being there in person but in some ways better because you didn’t have to take the long expensive plane trip, didn’t have to walk walk walk, do get to linger and look at the pictures without being hurried on by those behind you, and you will learn a lot by leisurely reading the explanations provided.

So, whether you are a Pastor, SS teacher, Bible Study leader, or ‘just’ an interested layperson, I think you will find this very interesting. HERE’S THE LINK
