Today's click through is really unusual.

Picture yourself looking out a window of the International Space station -- which is what you are doing.

You are enjoying and fascinated by the view of earth and the atmosphere around it

and then you see a fast moving small dot that goes up and up and up and then gets brighter as a booster rocket fires.

This is really interesting and amazing.

MAF Twin Otter Landing Maramuni, Papua New Guinea

MAF is Missionary Aviation Fellowship.

A Twin Otter is a type of airplane.

Papua New Guinea, as you will see in today's click through, is a rough and rugged area which is not a place in which you would want to casually fly an airplane.

The location of the landing we will see today is Maramuni in Papua New Guinea.

The length of the landing strip is 450 meters by 15 meters.

The altitude is 4800 feet.

As you can see -- if you can't use an airplane, getting in and out of this area for emergencies, sickness, supplies, etc. is almost impossible.

That is why MAF provides such an awesome service to remote areas such as this and to remote areas elsewhere in the world.  WOW.  This is not for the faint of heart.

Check this out.

Main Street, USA in the 1950s

Today let's take a trip down memory lane.

For some DITers, this will really be a trip down memory lane.

For the rest, this will be an eye opener for sure.

Doubtless, most DIT'ers see the hustle and bustle of big cities and busy life in the 21st Century and think or assume everything has always been as we see it now.

But back in the 1950s it didn't look anything like it does today --

Not by a long shot.

So today let's take a brief glimpse of life as it was in the 1950s --

in what was, at that time, considered "big cities'.

Wow.  what a difference time makes.

The Common Salvation

In the Book of Jude in the New Testament of the Bible,

Jude wrote:

“Beloved,

when I gave all diligence to write unto you

of the common salvation . . .”
                                    Jude 1:3 kjv

What did Jude mean when he referred to salvation as being 'common'?

This is an important question and the answer is not what you would immediately think.

Today's click through takes us to a very brief devotional thought which explains.

Which means it is time to once again make and begin New Year’s Resolutions.

Likely one of your resolutions is ‘to read and study the Bible more this year’.

If so, then you will love this DIT (Daily Interesting Thing).

Why?

Because we received an email from Bible Study Tools dot Com telling of study tools they have available for free.

These include Bible Reading Plans, many on-line versions of the Bible, dictionaries, concordances, and more.

These tools will be a great help in reading and studying the Bible this year.
