Spurgeon on Depression

Yesterday while watching the Weather Channel to see what was happening around the country and world weather wise, they made an interesting observation.

According to the folks at the Weather Channel, it seems that January 25 is the ‘most depressing day of the year’ !

They said that it is the most depressing day for several reasons.

First, it is one month after the fun and festivities of the Christmas holiday.

Secondly, most folks have stopped doing their New Year’s Resolutions so are feeling bad about failing in their resolves.

And then, of course, Jan 25 is in the dead of winter with its short gray gloomy days of snow, rain, or whatever.

Well, that is the secular view of Jan 25, i.e. that it is the most depressing day of the year.

But, good news, Charles Haddon Spurgeon has something to say about Depression. HERE’S THE LINK
