Stone Circles in the Middle East

           
You have heard of the famous Stonehenge in England, pictured here in 1885.

It is just one of many stone circles that have been found in England, and, indeed, around the world.

Some of these circles are comprised of tall stones, such as the Stonehenge and the Ring of Brodgar.

Others are made of shorter or smaller stones or even of wood.

But all of them are amazing and for the most part Archaeologists are still befuddled as to their purpose and who made them.

And, now, to confuse things even more --

Guess what ?

Big Circles have been found in the Middle East.

And the question again is "who built them"  and why?
