Another Supermoon

Ok Guys and Gals --- Tonight is the night !!

The night?  For What ?

Well, Tonight (and last night)  is one of those nights when you can see a Supermoon !!!

Actually, this year there are three (count them 1,2, 3) supermoons.

Two of them have already occurred - On July 12 and Aug 10.

The final one of the three this year is Sept. 9

So what is a supermoon?

Well, according to a quote on the earthsky.org website, a Supermoon is " a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit."

Of course, that explanation is kinda wordy and esoteric.

So -- for a more 'readable' article and explanation from NASA (your tax dollars at work) which includes a video explanation, check out this link about the SUPERMOON

But, if you want to skip the article (who would want to do that?) and only view the  video explanation HERE'S THE VIDEO LINK to SUPERMOON

But whatever you decide to do -- be sure to go outside and check out the Supermoon tonight.

Last night and tonight, if your sky is clear, will give you wonderful views of the Supermoon.
