Almost forgotten Hymns

Several DIT'ers have lamented that the 'old' songs and hymns aren't sung much  (if any) in Church or on the radio these days.

Two of these are "His Eye is On the Sparrow" and "Great is Thy Faithfulness".

You may have heard of these hymns and hopefully you have heard the rendition of "His Eye is on the Sparrow" by Ethel Waters.

Not only have these these wonderful songs fallen off the 'song list' in our Churches today but probably most folks don't even know the background as to 'why' they were written in the first place.

To learn why these two wonderful Hymns were written.  HERE'S THE LINK.

To hear Ethel Waters sing "His eye is on the Sparrow" at a 1965 Billy Graham Crusade, HERE'S THE LINK

And to hear "Great is Thy Faithfulness" in a 2 minute 21 second video, HERE'S THE LINK
