Bears -- Webcam in Alaska

The DIT for today is probably NOT for those of you who surf the net in the very wee hours of the night (EST hours that is).

But for the rest of the folks, this is a neato link.

What is it?

Well, it is Bears -- looking for salmon in the rushing waters at the Katmai National Park and Preserve in Alaska.

According to the website, the best viewing hours are between 6:30 AM and 11:30 PM  -- but, that is Alaska time, so even night owls can probably see these bears.

For example, I just checked it out at 1 AM EST (9 PM Alaska Time) and there was still a lot of light. Plus I saw a a bear hunting a meal.

This is a most unusual and interesting live webcam site. Hopefully, you can see a bear catch a meal unless he / she gives up and walks out of the picture as the bear I was watching did.

So But maybe those are 'Bear Feeding hours' after which they go to bed and get some rest???

Anyway, happy hunting (pun intended). HERE'S THE LINK
