Carpathia, the Ship that rescued the Titanic's Passengers

Yesterday we read about the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

Today, we look back 100 years again because it was on this day, 100 years ago, that the Ship Carpathia arrived at the site where the Titanic had sunk and rescued the passengers that had made it into the life rafts.

You probably know that a ship did hear the radio emergency call and came to the rescue of her surviving passengers.

But, not much is ever said about the rescue ship, the Carpathia.

Today we want to look at some of the pictures of the ship and learn a tad more about how the rescue occurred.

Harold Bride was one of the two 'radio men' on the Titanic.

Harold Cottam, the only 'radio man' on the Carpathia was also among the heros.

To see the pictures, you have to jump through a hoop but it is an easy hoop.

This is what you do.

Go to the link that I will give you in the HERE'S THE LINK

and when you get there, scroll down the page until you find

But do not waste your time trying to click on the You Tube video thing. The link seems to be broken and you don't get the video.  Sigh.

So with that said, to see some interesting photos, HERE'S THE LINK
