What's in a single verse?


As you read the Bible, you might think that in order to do a Bible study, you need to study an entire book or a specific topic.

And, yes, those are good ways to study the Bible.

But is that the only thing you can do?

Can a single verse in the Bible merit much time and effort in Bible Study?

Well, believe it or not, you can often find many insightful truths in just one seemingly insignificant verse.

For example, take this verse:

"To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour."  Titus 1:4

This is just part of the introduction by the author, Paul, to the N.T. Book of Titus.

Can a person really study this verse and find important things?

Well, Yes!
