Was it really a rooster / cock that crowed?

We have mentioned previously that there is a wonderful Adult (of all ages, even teens and college students attend from time to time) Sunday School class in a suburb of Atlanta.  We have had the opportunity to visit it several times and agree that it is a friendly, wonderful, and unusual class.

Why unusual?  Well, it is a class that doesn’t just cover the ‘fluff’ or surface aspects  of a lesson but consistently does in-depth expository teaching!

And, this has carried over to the students.

They, too, want to know more and study on the side.

From time to time they bring findings to the class that provide additional understanding and depth of insight to Biblical teachings.

And, No, these are not off the wall ‘ooey ooey’ weird insights.  Rather, they are insights that arise when one studies the original text, historical information about the times, etc.

The blog entry for today is one of those insights which was discovered by one of the men in the class.

So, what is this insight, you ask?

Well, it has to do with the ‘rooster / cock’ that crowed when Peter had disowned the Lord three times.  I am sure you recall the event.

The student discovered some very interesting and amazing historical information on the internet that was new to me and will probably be new to you.  HERE”S THE LINK.
