Spring begins Today

Time really flies -- can you believe it  -- it's Spring !!!!!

WOW

The technical definition of today's event is "The Spring Equinox"

and it is observed annually when the Sun crosses the celestial equator from south to north.

But, wow, that is technical --

and what we want to know in simple terms is that

yayyyy and hooray -- it is Spring at last.

Which means that

it is that wonderful time of the year when the cold of winter begins to fade away

and the warmth of the year begins to return.

Sooooooo Spring (the Spring Equinox) officially begins today.

And in many areas,including our own,

Flowers are blooming. Trees are budding. Grass is Growing.

The sky is blue and the birds are back.

Yes it is that time of the year again --

So Set your clocks before you go to bed tonight.

Why?

Because Daylight Savings Begins on Sunday.

So, it is time to SPRING FORWARD.

This means when you go to bed tonight, you will get less sleep. Alas !

Why?

Because at 2 AM on Sunday, while you are hopefully sleeping, time will spring forward and

When you wake up on Sunday, it will be later than you think, if you don't plan ahead.

Chistopher's New Heart

Several years ago we made several posts about a little boy named Christopher who was born with serious heart defects.

They were so serious that he had to have a heart transplant.

Many DITers followed the story of his operation, post operative complications, and progress.  The picture here is when he was having a renal transplant when he was about 3 years old.

Christopher is now 10 years old and it's time for a followup.
