Goliath’s hometown found !

Archaeologists have been busy as you have no doubt noted from the several recent ‘finds’ that we have been noting.

This time, Archaeologists have unearthed Gat, the home town of the Biblical Giant, Goliath.

Everyone knows about Goliath, the Giant that David killed. 

Indeed, the picture today by Gustave Dore illustrates that event which is recorded in the Bible in I Samuel Chapter 17.

Of course that event did not occur in the city of Gat, but on the battlefield.  Still, the finding of what is thought to be Goliath’s home town is very interesting.
