The Milky Way

'City folks', which most of us are to one degree or another, are not able to really see the sky.

We think we can see the sky but most stars, planets, nebulae, etc. are dimmed out by the ambient lights of the city even when stargazing in the nearby countryside of a city or town.

While on a rafting / camping trip in the Grand Canyon years ago, I was able to see the Milky Way in this dazzling way since there were no lights anywhere nearby to interfere. But, being deep in the canyon, the entire scope of the Milky Way, of course, could not be seen.

However, if we had been camping on the top of the canyon it would have looked something like the pictures being posted today as our DIT.

And WOW!  To see what we 'city folks' have been missing, HERE'S THE LINK

Now, to see this same picture with multiple zodiac signs of the Mazzaroth superimposed, HERE'S THE LINK

But don't stop looking yet.  For another similar picture taken by a different individual in Switzerland, HERE'S THE LINK
