The other day (Monday Jan 18) we told you about Caring Bridge, a site to help folks with illnesses, surgeries, etc. to stay in contact with family, friends, and ‘concerned strangers’.
And, guess what. There is another site which also is a great help, this time to help folks coordinate meals for family or friends who are overwhelmed with taking care of a sick loved one, after the birth of a new child, who is a shut in, or whatever the need.
As indicated on the home page of the Care Calendar site: “CareCalendar is a web based system to organize meals and other help for families during a time of illness or life changing event, such as the birth of a baby or death of a family member. CareCalendar can also be used for long term situations, including homebound and caregiver respite care needs.”
This is another ministry which provides a wonderful and much needed service.
Even though you might not need it at this exact moment, you do need to know about it.
So, go to the site and ‘read all about it’. HERE’S THE LINK
