The Faith of the Elderly Caleb

Recently a friend of DIT gave us a hand out from his Sunday School Class.

It was about Caleb and his faith.

So you say --

Caleb?  Who is he? And why should I care?

Well, as you may recall, after the Israelites left Egypt and were told by God to enter their 'Promised Land', a search party of 12 men was sent by Moses to check out the situation.

Upon their return, only two (Joshua and Caleb) said "yes, with the Lord's help we can conquer the land."

The other ten essentially said "no way…"

Bottom line: the majority won out and as a result the Israelites had to wander in the wilderness for 40 more years before once again being told by God to enter the 'Promised Land'.

You can read about all of this in the Old Testament Books of Numbers and Joshua.

The purpose of today's DIT, however, is not a history lesson

but to discover some profound insights about Faith, in this case the Faith of Caleb.

Yes, the article to which we are linking today tells about Caleb's faith, but the principles presented are valid for all people.

So, without further ado, HERE'S THE LINK to The faith of the elderly Caleb
