how cold?
Soooo cold (down to the 3s and 4s F) that we had to keep water running for several days and nights to keep the pipes from freezing.
It was so cold that we were reminded of the famous old saying "When Niagara Falls freezes over" --
well, maybe that isn't the exact 'saying'
but
guess what
Niagara Falls DID freeze over.
