The Brain is an amazing amazing thing.
You have seen the ‘usual’ pictures of a brain.
But perhaps the picture today is new to you.
In case you are wondering, it is a PET scan of an 80 year old Brain.
A PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Scan is one of the studies done in Radiology Departments that shows brain activity (or inactivity) among other things.
And speaking of brain ‘inactivity’, several emails with funny ‘brain teasers’ have gone round and round the internet.
At least they have dropped into my inbox several times and likely yours also.
Yesterday we saw a 6th grader who memorized more numbers in Pi than one could ever have thought possible.
So perhaps today, we older or more ‘normal?’ folks should test our brains for activity also.
