Kids and Animals

A friend of DIT sent an email with these heart warming pictures.

Of course we can't link to an email so we surfed and found their origin.

When you get to the link however, the pictures will not show unless you click on the little message in the upper left hand corner or near the top of the page that says

 "images are not displayed
  Display images in this post"

Do that and you will get a sequence of heart warming pictures.

Enjoy.

Beware of Balaam

Awhile back a SS class in Atlanta had a couple of lessons about Balaam.

Balaam?  Who's he?

Pictured here you see Rembrant's classic painting of God's Angel confronting Balaam as he rode his donkey.  His donkey saw the Angel but Balaam could not.

Long story about what happened but bottom line --

Balaam was an Old Testament Prophet who talked with God --

but he did not always obey God and he did things that were wrong -- so wrong that he ultimately led God's people astray.

Sadly, things that Balaam did are being repeated today in the Christian Church.

Therefore, the warnings given in the Old Testament regarding Balaam's errors are worth heeding today.

This very brief but important article explains what Balaam's errors were, alerts us that they are occurring once again in history, and explains what should be done.

Engineers without Diplomas

It is Graduation time and all across the US folks are graduating from High School, College, and Graduate schools.

They proudly have diplomas in their various areas of study.

But did you know that there are many Engineers who have no diplomas yet are exceedingly accomplished in their designs and structures?

Yes !

Who are these Engineers?

What do they build?

Where did they get their education?

Who taught them?

Well, when you check out these pictures it is rather obvious that Evolution was not the reason they are so smart.

Instead, God, their Creator and the Creator of the Universe, endowed them with their Engineering Ability.

Working by Faith

There is a passage in the New Testament that has probably made you scratch your head.

What is it?

Well, in Matthew 20 there is an account about a man hiring workers.

Some he hired first thing in the day, others later, and still others just before the work day ended.

But, when it came time to pay the workers, everyone got the same pay!

Obviously this caused those who worked all day much dismay.

But, what is the reason for this seeming discrepancy in pay?

The short article to which we are linking correctly begins with the comment: "This parable has long caused perplexity …"

which is perhaps the understatement of the year (or century or whatever).

But this article also explains the reason for the same pay for all the workers.

The La Brea Tar Pits

You have probably heard of the La Brea Tar Pits, pictured here in a photo taken by Daniel Schwen and posted on Wikipedia.

They are located in Southern California and are famous for their contents.

What contents?

Well, seems that there are fossils of many many animals.  Some are familiar to us today and other are not.

They include fossils of saber-toothed cats, mastodons, camels, and numerous other animals and birds.

As you know, the 'theory' is that these big animals got trapped in the sticky tar and couldn't escape.

But, that might not be what really happened.

This article explains why getting trapped in the tar was not the reason and provides a more logical explanation.

The Solar System

Jason Lisle, Ph.D. , is an Astrophysicist and Director of Research at ICR.

He has written a very interesting article that everyone needs to read.

What is it?

Well, it explains many things about our Solar System that everyone wanted to know but didn't know where to find the answers without taking a zillion college and graduate courses.

And, he does it in a way that a layman can understand.

I think you will find this most interesting.

Genomes data suggests young human race

Yesterday we considered the fact that the world might not be nearly as old as the Old Earth-ers would want us to believe.

And they are not going to be happy with the findings in the article to which we will be linking today.

But it was their research that has uncovered the information.

What is it this time?

Well, it seems that a project to sequence human genomes has "uncovered a result that points to a youthful age for the human race."

Wow!  You mean the Bible might be right after all?

Well, read this brief article and see for yourself.  HERE'S THE LINK

Huge dragon flies due to high oxygen levels

This most interesting article was the result of research by folks wearing the Old Earth Evolutionary glasses.

The Scientists doing this research equated their findings with what they thought happened 300 million years ago, aka the Paleozoic era.

Seems that during that 'era' there were realllllly big dragonflies.

The Scientists said they were big because of much higher Oxygen levels 300 million years ago.

And, yes, it is true, higher oxygen levels can result in much larger trees, plants,  animals, insects, birds, and other critters.

But, put on your Young Earth Glasses and consider that the reallllly big dragonflies
did not live 300 million years ago.

Consider that they lived in the time between Creation and the Biblical Flood of Noah.

Many many animals and plants were realllly big during that era, which, of course, those wearing the Old Earth Evolutionary Glasses say never happened.

But what if that era did happen (the time between Creation and the Flood)

Then, those reallllly big dragon flies could have grown big then instead of 300 million years ago.

By the way, how do scientists decide how many millions of years ago something happened when there is only recorded history for about the last 5000 or 6000 years?  Just a thought.

Anyway, put on the Young Earth Glasses as you read this article and see if the findings are really confirming the veracity of the Bible and the conditions that existed on earth before the Flood.

Amazing pictures of a Volcano in Chile

Breaking news is reporting that the Copahue volcano in Chili is threatening to erupt and a Red Alert has been issued.

Because of this, many folks are being evacuated from the area.

So, what does a serious volcanic eruption look like?

Well, we found some pictures of another volcanic eruption in Chile that occurred in June of 2011.

I am not sure if it is the same one that is threatening the folks now but it is in Chile and the pictures are dramatic.

The Impossible Gene

Oh, Oh, another problem for the evolutionists.

What is it this time? you ask.

Well, as pointed out in the article to which we will be linking today:

"Biologists have recently discovered a gene that suggests that God may not be above playing a practical joke on those who reject what His Word says."

Yep. Tis true.

Seems that some studies with the famous 'fruit flies' reveal an interesting finding that gives evolutionists another big problem.

But, rather than just tell you and ruin the surprise, HERE'S THE LINK
