Today is Pearl Harbor Day. Is your flag flying?
December 7, 1941 is truly one of those days that lives in infamy.
In the quiet of the early hours of that Sunday morning, Pearl Harbor was attacked by 353 aircraft which came in two waves.
Tragically 2,402 U.S. personnel were killed and 1,282 were wounded.
Many U.S ships, airplanes, and buildings were destroyed and / or damaged.
Bottom line, as you know, this event caused the U.S.A. to enter World War II.
Much has been written about this watershed day. There are articles, books, movies, etc. which give the details, some accurately, some not so accurately.
One really good article is at the Wikipedia site. It is long and detailed but worth the time to read. HERE’S THE LINK.
