Today is the first official day of winter, also known as the winter Solstice.
For many, however, winter is already here and has been here for some time.
You have undoubtably already seen images of big snowstorms and blizzard type weather on TV --
but still -- today IS the first official day of winter.
But what this really means, in addition to the snow and ice and brrrrr cold of winter time,
is that the First day of Winter means that, in the Northern Hemisphere,
the days which are so very short now will start getting longer
and the nights will start getting shorter.
Joy and happiness -- that is Good News!!!!
