Paths in the sea

The Bible, in the book of Psalms, told us that there were paths in the sea.

               The Fowl of the air,
               and the fish of the sea,
               and whatsoever passeth
               through the paths of the seas. …

                                   Psalm 8:8  kjv

But it was not until Matthew Maury, the "father of oceanography and hydrography" discovered and reported them.
