Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, was born on Feb 12, 1809. Interestingly, Charles Darwin was also born on Feb. 12, 1809. Hmmm. Two men with very different outcomes in the influence of their lives. But, we will not go into ‘that’ now.
Today let’s focus on Abraham Lincoln.
Lincoln’s image is on the US One Cent piece (aka, the penny) so you likely see him daily. And, if you have been to Washington, D.C., you have surely visited the Lincoln Memorial and viewed the larger than life size statue (shown as the blog picture for today). He is also one of the Presidents depicted on Mt. Rushmore.
