Jessie Owens Memorial Park

Who was Jessie Owens? you ask.

Well, he was an outstanding Black athlete who, to the amazement of the world, broke many world records and won 4 gold medals in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany.

He was born in a tiny tiny town in Alabama -- which is the location of the Museum in his honor.

Recently several of us visited the Museum in Oakville, Alabama.  It was an awesome experience.

You should definitely put it on your bucket list of things to see and do.
