What is MRI?
MRI is 'short' for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Pictured here is a MRI Scanner (taken by Jan Ainali and posted on Wikipedia).
It is that wonderful Medical Scanner that takes images (usually of the human body)
but today we are going to see MRI images of fruits and vegetables.
Food -- fruits and vegetables?
Yes, someone has done a series of 20 different foods in an MRI scanner.
See if you can figure out what each one is.
This is awesome.
By the way, you will be interested to know that the inventor of the MRI is Dr. Raymond Damadian. He is a Creationist and recently spoke at the AIG Museum.
