Today, we'd like to mention a very special tea.
You may or may not have heard about it. but, it is widely used in South America in the Andes.
What is it? and why is it so interesting? you ask.
Well, it is Coca Tea (pictured here) and is used to help alleviate high altitude sickness.
At the high altitudes in the Andes, you find this tea almost everywhere -- in hotels, restaurants, etc.
It does work! I can personally attest to that.
To read more about this interesting tea (but don't worry about the 'issues' that Wikipedia has found. That happens from time to time. When I first found the link, they had 'no' problems but in the past couple of days someone must have complained.)
