Global Ship Traffic seen from space

Unless you were on Mars or were doing a Rip Van Winkle sleep event

you are surely aware of the recent traffic jam in the Suez Canal and beyond because of the huge cargo ship that was blocking the passage.

But believe it or not, the ship traffic across the globe is even larger that we might have imagined and the number of waiting ships was also huge.

Today is Resurrection Sunday (Easter)

Almost 2000 years ago, The Lord God Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the required death penalty for my (and everyone’s) sins. 

Three days and nights passed while he was in the grave.

 

But then, HE  AROSE  from the dead !!!

He was Resurrected to new life!!! 

And because He arose, we, too, can live with Him forever
        IF
we confess and turn from our sins
        and
accept the free gift of His substitute death as payment for our sins.

Jesus explained this amazing transaction to Nicodemus in these words:

                   John 3:14-18...  kjv
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ...

Did the Resurrection really happen?

 

Tomorrow Christians all around the world will celebrate Resurrection Day as they rejoice in the fact that almost 2000 years ago Christ arose from death after having died to pay the debt for their sins.

And because of His resurrection, anyone who repents of his or her sins and accepts His free gift of salvation will be forgiven of their sins and will live with him forever in His heaven.

But, alas, there are some folks who doubt that Jesus even lived, much less that He died and rose again and is still and forever alive.

What can be said to those who do not believe that Jesus is Who He says He is (God and the Son of God) and who, therefore, will miss out on His free gift of salvation.

Today commemorates the day that the Lord God Jesus Christ was nailed to the Cross

Why?

To serve as a substitute for you, me, and everyone who will accept His gift of giving His life

as a substitute for you, me, and anyone who will accept His gift of his sinless life

which pays the death penalty for our sins.
