Declaring the Unknown God

Today's click through is about the God that people don't know.

The situation was explained about 2000 years ago when Paul told the people in Athens about this God.

And this situation is also true today in that many many people still have no idea that there is one and only real God.

They in Athens and people today are worshipping many things but they do not know the unknown (to them) God.

Today's click through explains.

If I could only listen to 3 classical pieces for the rest of my life ...

Saw this on YouTube recently and thought it was interesting.

Yes, 3 classical pieces are featured in this short video but not the entire rendition of each --

There is just a tantalizing segment of each.

No, I am not the "I" mentioned in the title of this DIT but whomever made the video is -- and his /her choices are good. Also the question "what would yours be"? is a good one.

Anyway I think you will find these 3 pieces memorable and ones that you have likely heard before.

So with that by way of introduction

Summer begins Today

Today, besides being the first day of summer, is also the longest day of the year.

Well, no, the day is not ‘longer’ because of more hours and minutes.  It is still a 24 hour day.

But, this is the day of the year with the longest time of daylight.

After today, until the winter solstice in December, the time of daylight will get shorter and shorter and shorter and ...

Then at the Winter Solstice, the shortest daylight day of the year, the days begin to get longer again until we reach next year’s “first day of summer”.

And on and on the cycle goes day after day, year after year.

Hmmm. Sounds like some kind of ‘design’ here.

Anyway, today, June 21, is the Summer Solstice, the First day of summer, and the day of the year with most daylight, hence the longest day of the year.

Just thought you would want to know.

So get outside and enjoy the day with the most sunlight until this time next year.

Today is flag day -- Is your Flag flying?

Flag Day in the United States commemorates the adoption of the U.S. flag by the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1777.

It was also the Birthday of the late father of one of the friends of this ministry.

And that ‘factoid’ always helps me remember Flag Day.

But, aside from that, --

The interesting history of how Flag Day ultimately came to be and came to be observed annually is given in a short article on Wikipedia.

Astronauts' On-orbit tour of SpaceX Crew Dragon 'Endeavour' includes 'zero-g dinosaur'

Well, unless you are Rip Van Winkle and just awakened you are surely aware of the big events of this weekend.

Saturday, the SpaceX vehicle blasted off from Florida USA--

It was the first time in 9 years that NASA Astronauts went to the International Space Station leaving from Florida.

And perhaps the most amazing part of this event is that the spacecraft and the rocket were not made by the Government but by private enterprise.

Wow!

One of the Astronauts (Bob Behnken) is also an Amateur Radio Operator (a Ham). The other Astronaut (Doug Hurley) is not.

Today's click through shows the two Astronauts in the SpaceX vehicle.

I'm sure you want to check it out so
