At midnight in each time zone as the new year rolls around the world -- things happen !
The Ball drops in Times Square of New York.
The Peach drops in Atlanta, Ga.
Fireworks light up the sky in many cities and communities around the world.
Families and friends light fire crackers and small firework displays in their yards.
Some people observe the passing of the old year and the beginning of the new year in prayer, reading the Bible, attending group worship services, working, or perhaps sleeping.
But, whether you are awake or asleep, reveling, celebrating, or worshipping,
the Old year passes and a New Year begins.
Of course, no one knows what will happen in 2019. It is yet to unfold.
But here's wishing you a Happy New Year.
No Click through today -- just celebrate in whatever way you prefer.

10 Most Astonishing Electron Microscope Pictures
The Electron Microscope takes pictures of really really really small things or the really really small details of things that you can see but the small details aren't readily visible.
The detail and the complexity of these things -- is such that one wonders
how could this have happened by chance changes of evolution?????
Hmmmm. Makes you wonder if there is a CREATOR and not just random chance producing these complex details.
Check out these images (actually there are more than 10) and see if you think these are just accidents of nature (i.e. evolution)
Remember -- when Darwin came up with his ideas about evolution -- he had no way of knowing or seeing the images you will see here. He thought things were really really simple.
The microscopes of Darwin's day couldn't even begin to show these details.

Today is the first day of Hanukkah
Today begins the 8 day Jewish Holiday of Hanukkah (Chanukah).
You may have also heard of this Festival / holiday by its other name ‘the Festival of Lights.’
As Noted on the Chabad website, this holiday is a celebration of two miracles:
1) “The 2nd century BCE victory of a small, greatly outnumbered and out-armed army of Jews, known as the "Maccabees," over the mighty Greek army that occupied the Holy Land. The rebellion was in response to the Greek attempt to force a Hellenistic G-dless lifestyle on the Jewish inhabitants of Israel.”
2) “The kindling of a seven-branched Menorah (candelabra) was an important component of the daily service in the Holy Temple. When the Maccabees liberated the Temple from the hands of the Greek invaders, they found only a small cruse of pure and undefiled olive oil fit for fueling the Menorah. The problem was, it was sufficient to light the Menorah only for one day, and it would take eight days to produce new pure oil. Miraculously, the oil burned for eight days and nights.”
